As research continues to unveil the therapeutic benefits of yoga, the practice of yoga therapy is increasingly recognized as an integral component of holistic medicine.
Yoga therapy employs various yoga techniques to aid clients in achieving overall well-being and effectively managing health conditions. Rooted in the philosophy of yoga, the concept of "Pancha Kosha" offers profound insights into the human experience, recognizing five fundamental layers:
1. The physical body
2. Energy and breath
3. Mind and emotions
4. Intellect
5. Bliss
Embracing the holistic framework of the five Koshas, we conduct comprehensive assessments of clients, considering the intricate interplay of these layers within each individual. From this understanding, we develop tailored care plans, incorporating tailored asanas, breathwork, meditation practices, cleaning techniques and lifestyle recommendations to support the holistic healing journey of each client.

Hello, I'm Misuzu, a certified yoga teacher and therapist. My own battle with cancer revealed to me the profound benefits of yoga, not just for the body but also for the mind and spirit, especially during and after treatment. Although I had been practicing yoga for over 20 years mainly for its physical benefits, it was during my illness that I truly grasped the importance of practices like savasana and meditation for deep relaxation.
I came to understand that balance between stimulation and relaxation, akin to the yin and yang concept, is crucial not only for our autonomic nervous system but also for our overall well-being. Just as our body and nature need balance, it became clear to me that maintaining this balance is essential.
These practices helped me find inner calmness and strengthen my mental resilience, aiding not just my physical recovery but also my emotional well-being during challenging times. Now, I specialize in yoga therapy to support others on their healing or recovery journeys. I believe deeply in yoga's ability to enhance both mental and physical health, and I'm dedicated to providing holistic guidance and support to help others thrive.
