All the medical wigs we sell are JIS certified and M.Wig certified from Japan. JIS is Japanese Industrial Standards. It is a Japanese national standard that stipulates standards and measurement methods for Japanese industrial products.

There are no clear standards or definitions for what qualifies as a medical wig in Japan. As a result, anyone can sell wigs claiming to be medical wigs of varying types and quality. No, it is not necessary to shave your hair before trying on a wig. However, if you have long hair and anticipate hair loss due to cancer treatment, it is a good idea to cut it shorter to prepare for the eventual hair loss. 

As a general guideline for the length to cut your natural hair, we recommend a length about 10 cm that makes it easy to pick up any shed hair with your hands.  
For those with long natural hair, cutting it to a certain length makes it easier to care for and also makes wearing the wig more comfortable. 

If you plan to match the style of the wig to your own hair, it's recommended to start wearing the wig around the time when hair loss begins. This allows for a more seamless transition. On the other hand, if you choose to cut your own hair very short, you may start wearing the wig even before hair loss actually starts.

Opting for a wig style and color that closely resembles your hair style before hair loss can provide a seamless transition and allow you to use the wig comfortably in your daily life. However, some customers embrace the opportunity to explore different hairstyles and deliberately choose a wig style that differs from their usual look, taking advantage of the chance to enjoy various hair styles. The frequency of washing your wig depends on the season and frequency of use, but if you use it every day, we recommend washing it with AQUADOLL specialized shampoo and conditioner and air drying it every 5 to 10 days. During the sweaty summer season, it's recommended to wash it about once a week.

If you require bangs trimming for the wig purchased from our shop, we are pleased to offer our cutting service. A small fee will apply for this service. Additionally, for our MyStyle designable wigs, we have partnered with a highly skilled stylist from Japan to provide expert assistance in achieving your desired look.

Our wigs come with an adjuster that allows for a snug fit, and in case any hair falls out, the wig can be easily adjusted to fit smaller around the rim. Moreover, if the top part of the wig starts to loosen, it can be sewn onto the backside to fit tighter. We offer adjustment services for all of our wigs.
